A Photo Chronicle of the
Back Pack 2000 Time Capsule Challenge
(July 19-23, 2000)
featuring photos by Scott Cook, Donn Harms, Jay Helms,
Steve Levoe, John Selling, and Russ Waters.
On July 19, 2000, an international team of twelve Pétomanes converged in Mammoth Lakes, California.  Their mission: to penetrate deep into the wilds of the Ansel Adams Wilderness, to sail the treacherous waters of Thousand Island Lake, to locate the heretofore uncharted Île des Pétomanes, to bury two carefully-prepared time capsules on the island, and to return to the mainland alive.  This is a photo-chronicle of that heroic, historic mission.
